Brief Five: VEGA Showcase

The Vega showcase is Vega’s opportunity to boast about the amazing students who pass through the doors at Vega.

They do this by showing their work in the form of a “show-reel”, as​ well as an extensive exhibition of artworks, installations and portfolios.​​ They host an annual showcase night where students can display and exhibit their work on campus. Showcase is
open to members of the public to view. The showcase is a very important time for the students because it allows them to create much needed relationships with people inside the advertising industry.


Vega Freaks Showcase.

The concept and theme behind my designs are based around a circus
freakshow. I want the audience who attend to be shocked and in awe of the work that they see as if they were attending a real life circus show. The Vega student is a critical thinker who by the end of their Vega career have unique skills that only Vega can provide. The school strives to teach uniqueness and creativity, encouraging students to scrutinise their own identity in order to create the same out of brands. In my designs I aimed at creating new identities for the students, showing them as creative freaks.
