About me

My name is Andrew (andy) Topping and I am 22 year old student currently studying a CBC degree specialising in graphic design. I have been a Durbanite my whole life but have had the pleasure of exploring other area codes. Art and music have always been my biggest passions. I currently play 5 musical instruments (guitar, bass, piano, drums and harmonica) and have my own band called Feed The Birds. Some of my other interests include designing and skateboarding. I am not a hermit crab and do enjoy going out and enjoying a few beers with friends and family.
 

 To be honest I don’t think I would be able to do anything else but design. Having a career in design allows a sense of freedom of expression which I find to be important in life.I’m not the type of person who would be able to go to work in a suit and tie (possibly not even shoes).

So Why Uncut?

When you think of something that is uncut, you generally think of something that is natural and a little rough around the edges. This would probably be the best way to describe myself as a person. What you see is what you get, but what you get is something that is unique and natural. I love being a designer becauseevery project is different. I always try to approach a new project with an open mind and try to incorporate new and exciting designs into my work.

 

I aim at creating work that communicates a message, is authentic and true and has content that is unique and interesting.
